Non-credit Life Planning Workshop
The purpose of this 10-session course is to assist individuals and students in the development of short and long-range life planning skills. Individuals make better progress in their lives when they can lay out their plans on paper and think ahead about what they want to happen in their futures. Integrating the course material with the activities of each lesson enables individuals to untangle uncertainties and gain insight about their lives. The one-on-one contact with the instructor increases accountability and breakthrough moments.

Course Objectives
Through involvement in this course, each participant will—
• Experiment with the process of life planning and expand their perspective and options.
• Explore the principles of self-discovery, intention, and commitment, along with brainstorming and other problem-solving techniques.
• Ask more effective questions, develop trust in their decisions, and practice the habit of follow-through
• Make sense out of complicated situations, become clear about priorities, and how to persevere in the face of obstacles.
• Practice writing and organizing sub-goals and short-term goals with supporting action plans and develop 1-, 5- and 20-year adjustable plans.

7. Go for Detail: Action Plans and Timetables
8. Recognize and Persevere Past Obstacles
9. Assessment and Celebration: Maintain Momentum
10. Follow-through: Beyond Life-Planning, Conclusion, Course Evaluation
